**A message from our Chairman**
Now that we have had a couple of days to reflect and get our breath back
I would like to give a massive l thank you on behalf of the Club and the Committee to everyone involved in the planning, organisation and setting up the Wessex Wizards Triathlon series hosted by the Oxley Leisure centre.
The feedback from those who participated, their friends and family has been absolutely amazing, with one overriding comment, “The Marshalls and organisation of this event was amazing, so many smiling and happy people” This is a fantastic testament to all those involved in helping Paul Adams as race director and Steve Page as Tri Stars race director who put on one “hell of a show” as without your continued and unselfish support this race series could not take place.
We are only a small club and this level of engagement across the whole weekend at the venue and setting up the various routes is a true reflection in what a great club we are. We had over 45 volunteers and Marshalls supporting the two days alone. Thank you one and all so very much indeed.
I would love to be able to thank you all individually but I risk missing someone out.
However, I would like to make a special thank you to Steve Hurley and his team from the Oxley for once again allowing us to host the event. Thanks must also go to Glencairn and Pen Mill Scaffolding for their support as well.
The various race captains and their support teams for putting in place iconic race routes in the pool and around the Dorset country side.
And last but not least to all 218 Competitors, whose ages ranged from 7-69 who raced hard and fairly. The positive feedback from you all made all our efforts truly worthwhile.
